The newly-renovated Washington Park is going to get even more of a new look this Labor Day weekend.
The Associated of Volleyball Professionals Cincinnati Open will be held at Washington park between Aug. 31- Sept. 2.
The AVP Cincinnati Open will feature the top U.S. beach volleyball players as they return from the London Olympics to compete to qualify for the 2012 AVP Championships in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The events will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the finals on Sunday, Sept. 2. Tickets are available on Friday and Saturday for $15 and $20 on Sunday.
Qualifying for the Cincinnati Open will take place all day on Aug. 30 at Hahana Beach, located at 7605 Wooster Pike. Attendance of the qualifying is free.
The events on Washington Park will first have sand poured on the Civic Lawn for competition.
