Posted: 09/01/2010
CAMPBELL COUNTY, Ky. - The Board of Elections in Campbell County needs around 80 poll workers for Election Day Nov. 2.
Possible workers will have to attend one training meeting during the week of Oct. 18-22. They will receive $25 for attending that training session.
There is a high turnover rate for poll workers due to the average age of most workers. Campbell County is expecting high turnout for the November election.
A poll worker must show up on Election Day by 6 a.m. and will have to stay until pools close at 6 p.m. Workers will receive a compensation of $100 for the work that day.
You must be 18 years old by Nov. 2 and be registered to vote in Campbell County. The Board of Elections prefers that you are a registered Republican or Democrat and said that they will use registered Independents in a bind.
To register, you can call the Campbell County Clerk's office at (859) 292-3885, the Democratic office at (859) 291-4969, or the Republican office at (859) 441-6963.
