WEST CHESTER, Ohio - Pit Bull Awareness Day (NPBAD) is an annual event that takes place nation-wide during the month of October, which supports the initiative dedicated to changing and restoring the image of the American pit bull terrier.

This event was created to promote awareness and provide education aimed at changing stereotypes and negative perceptions about pit bull’s and their owners.

To show your support, the Voice of America Park in West Chester is holding a free ‘Bark Bash,’ on Saturday Oct. 27 from 11 a.m.-  5 p.m.

The list of fun activities ranges from special appearances by the Cincinnati Roller Girls and the Ben-Gal cheerleaders to having adorable adoptable pets all day.

All dogs (and humans) are welcome to join in the fun!
