COVINGTON, Ky. - A spokesperson from University Hospital told 9 News police need help identifying a man who was struck by a vehicle in Covington last week.

The incident happened on Friday, Nov. 9 around 12:43 p.m. at the corner of Pike and Russell streets. According to police, a vehicle was traveling southbound in the 100 block of West Pike Street when the pedestrian walked into the path of the vehicle.

The victim, who police describe as a Hispanic male, was transported to University Hospital. The man remains in critical condition and police are asking family members to come forward and identify him. Police say the victim did not have any identification on him at the time of the crash.

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident. Charges are not pending against the driver based on witness statements.

Hospital officials say the man is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 250 pounds and was last wearing a green shirt and a zip up jacket with the words "Fresh Espress" on it. He also had on black shoes, size 16.

Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately or University Hospital at (513) 584-4201.

El viernes pasado, el día nueve de noviembre, a la una de la tarde, hubo un accidente en Covington, Ky. Un hombre que estaba cruzando la calle fue golpeado por un automóvil entre la calle Pike y Russell Street.

Es un hombre hispano, no tiene identificación y está aquí en el Hospital Universitario en Cincinnati. Es muy serio y no puede hablar.

Tiene- seis pie y 2 pulgadas de alto, y pesa 250 libras. Estaba vestido con una camiseta verde, una chaqueta azul marino que dice “Fresh Express”  Había zapatos negros de tamaño 16.

Pedimos que cualquier persona con información, llame al hospital (513) 584-4201.

No hay duda, Por favor, no tengas miedo de llamarnos. Este hombre es parte de una familia, una comunidad y debe tener alguien a su lado. Es una situación muy crítica.
