CINCINNATI - Cincinnati native Sarah Jessica Parker returned to the Queen City Saturday.

Parker wasn’t just here to check in on her former hometown, however. Parker was in Cincinnati to aid President Obama in his efforts to inspire local women to vote in the upcoming election.

Parker joined actress Alfre Woodard and Democratic Strategist Valerie Jarrett at the Obama campaign office on Main Street in Over-the-Rhine to kickoff a canvassing event called "Women Decide 2012."

Parker, Woodard and Jarrett highlighted why they believe Gov. Mitt Romney and Sen. Paul Ryan are the wrong leaders for this country, particularly for women.

After the event the three women went shopping at Sloane Boutique in Over-The-Rhine.

The business was started by young entrepreneur Duru Armagan, who says Obama’s policies helped her open the boutique in 2011.

Both campaigns have been urging women in Ohio to vote early.

Republicans were also out vying for the votes of women Saturday.

A republican rally was held in Sharonville. The event was hosted Rep. Steve Chabot, Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam and Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.
