WASHINGTON - Monday marked the start of the Scripps National Spelling Bee Week.

The Tri-State is represented by local middle school students 14-year-old Clay Campbell from Highlands Middle School and 11-year-old Joseph Cusi Delamerced from the Summit Country Day School.

The competitors are currently in Washington D.C. where they'll be facing spellers from all across the country.
