The search for the second of two missing Felicity brothers who were swept away in a creek has been called off.

Shortly after 7 p.m., officials announced the search has ended.

The third day of searching for 11-year-old Justin Devercelly Jr. resumed Friday as a recovery effort instead of a rescue.

Justin and his brother, 8-year-old Blake, fell into the creek Wednesday afternoon while being watched by a babysitter. Blake's body was found Thursday morning.

Instead of having search volunteers walk down Bullskin Creek in Brown and Clermont Counties; the creek banks were closed down to allow cadaver dogs to see if they could find Justin's body.

Before 10 a.m. Friday, several cadaver dogs and their handlers starting walking the miles long creek bank down to the Shinkles Ridge Bridge.

Search leaders believed that Justin's body is probably somewhere further south along Bullskin Creek, however, they were not able to locate him.

The day the brothers fell into the creek, the rapid waters were 15 to 20 feet higher, even touching the bottoms of several bridges along the way.

The U.S. Coast Guard along with additional river patrol and police divers assisted in the search for Justin's body. The fear is that his body may have been swept out to the Ohio River.
