FORT THOMAS, Ky. - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a small plane crash in Northern Kentucky

Police say a small Cessna went down on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River near Mary Ingles Highway at about 10 p.m. Saturday in Fort Thomas.

The plane was headed towards Lunken Airport when it crashed into some trees, authorities say.

According to investigators, the pilot of the small plane and one passenger were on board at the time of the accident and did sustain some injuries.

Their conditions have not been released.

No additional information has been released at this time.

Fort Thomas police and the FAA are investigating.
