CINCINNATI - This weekend, those in the Tri-State can enjoy beer, fear and fireworks in the area.
Kings Island kicks off the 6th annual Halloween Haunt this weekend. The park is transformed into place of tricks and fear weekend nights until Oct. 27. More than 500 monsters roam the park with mazes to bring some of your greatest fears to life. The park for the next few weekends is designed with adults in mind. The Halloween Haunt is not recommended for kids under 13 years old.

Also this weekend, on Saturday night Coney Island is hosting what is believed to be the first US fireworks competition. Displays from the US, Canada and Mexico will be judged on a variety of standards from color to choreography.

Finally Oktoberfest kicks off Saturday with the Annual 14K. About 3,000 runners have already signed up. The course this year winds through Cincinnati's historic brewery district.
