CINCINNATI - Duke employees from Ohio and Kentucky are headed north and east to aid in the recovery efforts from Sandy.

Those crews will meet at the Cincinnati Mills Mall at 8 a.m. Wednesday to then head to some of the hardest hit areas. Their caravan of vehicles will include bucket trucks and pole setting trucks along with tree trimming equipment.

Some of those crews are headed north to the Cleveland area where, as of 6:15 a.m. Thursday, there were 156,150 customers still without power. You can track the outages by clicking here.

Twenty crews with specialized skills in underground restoration will go directly to Manhattan to help rebuild the damaged infrastructure of New York City.
