PINER, Ky. - One person is dead and another is injured after a vehicle crash in Kenton County early Thursday morning.

A vehicle drove off the road and down a ravine at 654 KY Highway 14 in Piner, Ky., at about 3 a.m. One person died at the scene of the crash, but officials have not released information about that person’s identity at this time.

Emergency crews transported a passenger to an area hospital for treatment, but authorities have not released information about the victim’s condition.

Officials say only one vehicle was involved in the accident.

Authorities have not released any additional details at this time, including what led to the accident.
