VERONA, Ky. - Four people were transported to the hospital by medical helicopters after a two-vehicle accident in Verona, Ky. Thursday evening.

The accident happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Glencoe Verona Road (KY 16).

According to police, Rudy Barber, 35, of Owenton, Ky. was driving a Mazda MX-6 northbound on KY 16 when Barber lost control and slid left of center. Clyde Oliver, 66, of Verona, Ky. was headed southbound on the same road and saw the Mazda coming toward his Toyota pickup truck. The two vehicles collided off the roadway, and the Mazda flipped on its top, police say.

Barber, and his two passengers, Ashley Adock, 25, and a 16-year-old girl from Covington, and Oliver were all transported to the hospital. The three adults were taken to University Hospital where they are listed in stable contain, according to police.

The 16-year-old was taken to Children's Hospital. Police say her condition is not known.

The accident remains under investigation with the Boone County's Sheriff office.
