BURLINGTON, Ky. - The Boone County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a man who was caught on camera stealing money from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Veteran's Way in Burlington.

Investigators say around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a man broke into the cabinet where the candle donations are kept and stuffed his pockets with the cash.

The theft was caught on camera and police are releasing images from the surveillance video in hopes someone will recognize him.

The suspect is believed to be in his early to mid 20s. He has light brown hair and tattoos on both forearms.
