COVINGTON, Ky. - Some local young professionals have the chance to visit France with all expenses paid, and you could be one of them!

The Covington Rotary Club is looking for a group of young professionals to travel to Grenoble, France, next March for a four-week Group Study Exchange program.

In order to apply:

  • You must be between the ages of 25 and 40.
  • You must be employed full-time and live in any Kentucky county within Rotary District 6740.

You will experience firsthand the way of life, customs, and vocational practices in the Grenoble, France area, while you share information about your home community and state.

There are a few requirements expected upon your return:

  • You are expected to make yourself available for presentations on the experience to Rotary clubs within our district.
  • Participate in a presentation at the annual district conference
  • Possibly present to others within our community upon request

The purpose of Group Study Exchange is to promote international understanding and world peace and goodwill through personal connection.

While abroad, team members stay in Rotarians' homes and have the opportunity to meet their professional counterparts.

They will also give presentations about Kentucky to Rotary clubs and other groups in France.

Speaking and/or understanding French is NOT required, but can be helpful.

The Rotary Foundation provides round-trip airfare, while Rotarians in Grenoble will provide meals, lodging and group travel within their district.

The only expenses to team members are those for personal and incidental expenses while traveling abroad.

Applications should be submitted to Arnold Taylor, Covington Rotary, either by email to ataylor@ortlaw.com , or by regular mail at PO Box 17411, Covington, Ky. 41017.

Applications received after the Deadline (Monday, Oct. 8, 2012), will not be considered.
