COVINGTON, Ky. - CNN's John King broadcasted his show live Wednesday night from Northern Kentucky.
Officials at CNN said the reason for the live broadcast is because the battle for the open Kentucky Senate seat is dead even.
"Mr. Conway is in what you might consider to be a surprise. A dead heat race tonight with the Tea Party candidate Rand Paul. One of the many races this year and one of the many things about this state that makes it so fascinating in this midterm election year," King said during his hour long live broadcast from Covington.
A new poll shows Democratic nominee Jack Conway claiming 46% of the vote and Republican nominee Rand Paul claiming 46% of the vote.
Voters that attended the broadcast say this midterm election is all about jobs.
"As a working person it's absolutely again the most important election of our lives as they continue to be each year it seems like. If we don't get get some jobs, I think there are 300 or some odd, I forget the number, jobs creating bills passed the house that are stalled in the senate," said Jim Cole from Southgate.
