Man shot in Covington on Sunday dies

COVINGTON, Ky. - A man who was shot Sunday in Covington died early Monday morning as a result of the wounds he sustained.

Police found the shooting victim around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night in the 200 block of East 10th Street.

Covington police say they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdominal area. the victim was transported to University Hospital, and Covington police confirmed Monday afternoon that the victim died as a result of his wounds early Monday morning.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
