FLORENCE, Ky. - A Florence house is a total loss after it caught fire Tuesday evening.
A fire broke out at a house in the 200 block of Maher Road at about 7 p.m. and officials arrived on scene to see the house engulfed in flames. Fire crews extinguished the flames after an aggressive attack, which included 22 firefighters.
The house was not occupied at the time of the blaze because the homeowners had left the house shortly before the fire started, according to officials. A neighbor rescued the family’s dog from the residence before the flames grew. No other injuries were reported.
Officials have not released an estimated cost of damage at this time, but they say the house is a total loss.
Fire officials have not released any additional details at this time.
