DAYTON, Ky. - An officer in Dayton, Ky. opened fire Wednesday afternoon after a suspect in a drug case attempted to run him over with a car.

Police were attempting to serve a drug warrant in the 1200 block of Benham Street after 4 p.m. Wednesday when one of the suspects in the case reportedly drove a vehicle at one of the officers, police said. In response, an officer fired an undisclosed number of shots at the vehicle.

No one was hit or injured, police said.

Police have indicated the suspect in the case is now in custody.

Neither the name of the suspect nor the police officer involved in the shooting has been released at this time.
