FALMOUTH - A Falmouth man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing a drunk-driving accident that killed another driver.
Jackie Bennett pleaded guilty to murder for causing a head-on collision on SR 27 on July 20, 2012. Police said Beckett’s vehicle went left of center and struck a car driven by William Carroll.
Carroll died from his injuries a few months after the accident. Carroll's wife Ethel, who was a passenger, was injured.
Bennett was order to pay $100,000 in restitution to Carroll’s family.
