BURLINGTON, Ky. - A man did not appear in court Wednesday for charges that he raped an underage girl more than a dozen times.
John Stuedle is facing at least 75 years in prison. He was set to be sentenced Wednesday morning at the Boone County courthouse, but failed to appear. A judge set a $100,000 arrest warrant.
Stuedle was convicted on 15 counts of third degree rape and one count of custodial interference.
Florence police say Stuedle is a homeless man who took advantage of the same victim multiple times at a homeless camp off U.S. 42.
Third degree rape is a Class D felony and comes with a punishment of up to five years in prison for each count.
