HEBRON, Ky. - What will the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport look like in 20 years?

Officials have a new plan for its future, and they wanted to know what you thought about it.

The airport held a public information session for the Master Plan Study Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

The Master Plan Study lays out a road map for CVG to efficiently meet airport demand until 2035. The plan is required by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The update includes passenger and cargo forecasts, which says volumes are expected to grow, but will still remain lower than in years past.

It also says CVG's focuses are on changes in the airport's passenger mix from predominately connecting traffic to local origination or destination traffic. The plan includes possibly reducing the number of gates and concourses, and building a new rental car facility.

The plan says the airport will spend more than $200 million on the renovations and renewal costs until 2025, but it could cost flyers.

According to the plan, some of the money needed will come from raising passenger facility charges, including a flat-rate user fee on tickets and higher fees on rental cars.
