Wedding trends of 2012 include lace bridal gowns and intimate ceremonies

CINCINNATI - There are a lot of women celebrating recent engagements this time of year after their beaus popped the question over the holidays.

Professional bridal consultant Tiesha Frazier of Event Elixir says it's never too early to start planning for your big day.

Frazier says bridal gowns with lace are popular. Many wedding designers have been inspired by designs from the royal wedding that included lace.

Another trend brides are following is having their wedding and reception at a place with sentimental value such as the home where the bride grew up.

Frazier says it's not necessarily to cut costs, but to infuse elements of their every day lives into their wedding.
