PARK HILLS, Ky - The Kenton County Fiscal Court has scheduled a special session for Tuesday night to discuss using tolls to pay for the Brent Spence Bridge.
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear and Ohio Gov. John Kasich have already stated tolls have to be used if a new bridge will ever get built.
Financial consultants for the bridge project recently stated a toll will not exceed $2 per trip. They are exploring multiple ways of financing the $2.7 billion improvement project.
It's estimated more than 172,000 vehicles a day travel on the bridge, more than twice the volume it was built to handle.
Kenton County leaders will meet at 6 p.m. at the Notre Dame Academy located at 1699 Hilton Drive in Park Hills.
