LaRosa's tries to expand into Columbus

CINCINNATI - LaRosa's Pizzeria wants to expand into the Columbus market.

The Cincinnati-based restaurant chain is starting an effort to recruit potential franchise partners in the Ohio capital. LaRosa's is holding a "Perfect Pizza Meet and Greet" at Polaris Fashion Place on Friday.

Free pizza will be available at the event, which is designed to not only meet potential franchisees, but also to introduce Columbus area residents to LaRosa's pizza and give them a sample.

LaRosa's currently has locations in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, southeastern Indiana and Greater Dayton.

The company was founded in 1954 on Cincinnati's west side by Buddy LaRosa. It now is a $125 million business with 65 pizzerias.
