CINCINNATI - A condemned Ohio man has been moved to the state's death house in preparation for his execution for killing two men he didn't know 23 years ago.

State officials moved Donald Palmer from death row in Chillicothe to the death house in Lucasville in southern Ohio on Wednesday, the day before he is to be executed by lethal injection.

The 43-year-old was convicted of aggravated murder for shooting two strangers along a Belmont County road in eastern Ohio on May 8, 1989. Both victims were married fathers.

Palmer's attorney said Wednesday that he doesn't plan to file any other appeals and expects the execution to proceed.

Palmer also decided not to request mercy from the Ohio Parole Board, which can recommend clemency for a condemned inmate to the governor.
