CINCINNATI - More than 500,000 birth and death records from 1865 to 1912 are now available for research on the University of Cincinnati website.

The records are part of the Local Government Records Collection of UC's Archives and Rare Books Library.

Each record contains a variety of information, including the usual name, race, gender. But these records includes further information like parent occupation, attending physician, and place of burial.

Website visitors are able to click on the full display of each entry, allowing them to access the complete catalog record and even an image of the original record.
