Researchers say a pregnant woman's exposure to cellphone radiation could affect the baby's development.

The Yale School of Medicine study observed pregnant mice that were exposed to active cellphones. The data found that the offspring had a decrease in memory ability and showed signs in hyperactivity.

"We had pregnant mice in cages and just simply put a cellphone on top of the cage…to transmit a signal," Dr. Hugh Taylor said.

Researchers advised pregnant women to hold phones away from their body and use caution when using mobile devices.
