CINCINNATI - Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling 1,077 cases of bagged salad over Listeria concerns.
Officials for the company say the products were sold at Kroger stores and Walmarts in six states, including Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
The only products included in the recall are:
Dole says no illnesses have been reported with the recall at this time. No other Dole products are included in the recall.
According to a press release, "Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause foodborne illness in a person who eats a food item contaminated with it. Symptoms of infection may include fever, muscle aches, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or diarrhea. The illness primarily impacts pregnant women and adults with weakened immune systems. Most healthy adults and children rarely become seriously ill."
