CINCINNATI - The World Choir Games' first concerts on Thursday are sold out, leaving fans to snatch up tickets for later in the week.
The 2012 World Choir Games Celebration Concerts kick off with Global Harmony and Musica Sacra both at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and both shows are sold out.
Celebration Concerts bring together top choirs from around the world to perform a variety of musical genres.
Tickets for the following Celebration Concerts are still available: Pop the Night Away (July 6 at Aronoff Center for the Arts), Energy of Youth (July 8 at Aronoff Center for the Arts), Music of the World (July 11 at Aronoff Center for the Arts), Cultural Showcase (July 12 at Aronoff Center for the Arts) and Gospel and Spiritual (July 12 at Music Hall). All concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.2012worldchoirgames.com/tickets .
Musica Sacra, the first World Choir Games Celebration Concert to sell out, will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Ky. Global Harmony, a concert featuring 2010 World Choir Games Champions from South Africa and Hong Kong, will take place at the Cincinnati Masonic Center.
