Social media can work miracles. At least that's what a couple of adorable sisters now think.
According to an ABC report , a father in Massachusetts, Ryan Cordell, jokingly told his two oldest daughters Tuesday they could get a new puppy if they got 1 million "likes" on Facebook. The girls created a sign that read, "Hi world. We want a puppy. Our dad said we can get one if we get 1 million likes! So like this! He doesn't think we can do it!"
Not to be out down, the girls' mother created a Facebook page with a photo of the girls and their three younger brothers holding the sign.
The girls' Facebook page, Twogirlsandapuppy , reached the million "likes" milestone about six hours after it was created. As of 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night, the photo had received more than 1.5 million "likes."
Tonight the family is searching for a new puppy.
