CINCINNATI - The Reds on Wednesday made a roster move they hope will add some depth to Dusty Baker's bench.

Cincinnati recalled utility player Kristopher Negron from AAA Louisville and optioned infielder Mike Costanzo to Louisville.

When he plays, Negron will become the third Reds player this season to make his Major League debut. The other two players to make their debuts in 2012 are pitcher J.J. Hoover and Costanzo.

In 58 games with the Bats, Negron hit .212 with five home runs, 10 doubles, one triple and 16 RBI. He will provide Baker with several options, having played at second, third, shortstop, and all three outfield positions. However, if the Reds are going to hold onto their lead in the Central Division, they have to upgrade the bench and/or roster.

Costanzo was promoted to the big league club on May 12 when Scott Rolen went to the disabled list. He managed one hit in 18 at bats.

Below is a video of an incredible catch Negron made last month (Mobile and tablet users to go a browser version of WCPO.com to see the video).
