CINCINNATI - Get ready Reds fans, registration to purchase playoff tickets is coming your way.

Registration for the chance to buy playoff tickets is underway now. The Reds are not offering playoff tickets during this registration, this is only registering for the opportunity to buy playoff tickets if and when they actually do go on sale.

The Reds say a random drawing for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the National League Division Series will be held on or about Friday, Sept. 10, 2010.

Each applicant selected for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the National League Division Series will be notified via e-mail on or about September 13, 2010. Applicants for National League Championship Series and World Series drawings will be selected from the same pool of applicants at later dates and notified via e-mail with instructions on the ticket purchase process including dates and times for these sales. Tickets will be available to the selected applicants on a first-come, first served basis only while tickets remain.

The Reds are seven games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central with just 30 games remaining in the regular season and are likely to find themselves with a postseason spot if they continue their red-hot play.

The team resumes action Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Brewers. Johnny Cueto (12-4, 3.49) takes the mound against Chris Narveson (10-7, 5.52).
