SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Eshaunte Jones netted 18 points as Northern Kentucky earned its fourth consecutive win 70-65 over South Carolina-Upstate Saturday night.

Jones hit 5 of 8 from the field and 3 of 4 from 3-point range for the Norse (8-12, 3-6 Atlantic Sun Conference). The senior entered with at least 25 points in each of his past three games and is averaging 23.7 points during Northern Kentucky's winning streak.

The loss spoiled SC Upstate's bid for a perfect five-game home stand as the Spartans (13-10, 7-3) closed out the stretch by making just 3 of 11 3-pointers in the five-point loss. Ricardo Glenn paced SC Upstate with 14 points, while Torrey Craig and Jodd Maxey each had 13.

Craig's three-point play pulled the Spartans within 68-65 with 1:01 remaining, but SC Upstate missed a pair of 3-point tries and Chad Jackson hit two free throws for the Norse in the final minute.
