HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- Eshaunte Jones scored 30 points to eclipse 1,000 career points as Northern Kentucky routed North Florida 72-45 Thursday night to sweep the season series.
The Norse (10-15, 8-9 Atlantic Sun Conference), who came in having lost four of their previous five games, led 34-26 at the break. Ethan Faulkner's 3-pointer to open the second half sparked a 21-4 run.
Jones was 10-of-15 shooting and made 6 of 9 3-pointers as Northern Kentucky went 11 of 19 from deep.
The Norse outshot the Ospreys 58.3 percent (14 of 24) to 31.8 percent (7 of 22) in the second half.
Northern Kentucky scored 23 points off 14 North Florida turnovers, while giving up four points on three miscues.
Tyler White added 12 points for the Norse, who also defeated North Florida 65-52 on Jan. 2.
Charles McRoy's 13 points off the bench led the Ospreys (12-18, 7-10), whose two-game winning streak ended.
