CINCINNATI - Leon Hall has been cleared to participate in the Cincinnati Bengals' first practice of training camp, completing the cornerback's comeback from a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Hall passed his physical and was allowed to join the rest of the team in practice Friday afternoon. The team will limit his plays in a row at the outset, but Hall says there are no other restrictions.
Hall is the Bengals' best cornerback. He was hurt last Nov. 13 in a game against Pittsburgh.
First-round pick Dre Kirkpatrick won't be practicing for a while. The rookie cornerback hurt his left leg while working out before camp. He said it's not broken, but that there's a "bump and a bruise." He wore a protective sleeve on the knee Friday.
There's no timetable for his return.
