CINCINNATI - Less than a month after signing with the Cincinnati Bengals, offensive guard Jacob Bell retired.
The former Miami Redhawk, who signed with the Bengals on April 10, was placed on the reserve/retired list on Wednesday.
Bell's eight seasons in the NFL included stops with the Tennessee Titans and the St. Louis Rams before the Bengals.
The 31-year-old cited injury concerns and a lack of desire to play, according to several reports.
The Bengals claimed two players off of waivers on Tuesday, guard Chris Riley of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga from the Washington Redskins.
