Tri-State high school football Player of the Week: Mason's Rodney Hutchinson

Mason sophomore Rodney Hutchinson was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 5, picking up 996 votes (31.96 percent).

The Comets’ quarterback earned his nomination by completing 15-of-17 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns while adding two more scores on the ground in a win over Hamilton.

Elder’s Carl Lengerich and Kevin Milligan of St. Xavier finished second and third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com . In total, 12 players were nominated with 3,116 votes casted.

Voting will open on Monday morning for Week 6’s nominations.
