CINCINNATI - Wet weather is heading towards the Tri-State, and it could mean a messy commute this week.
According to AAA, the odds of becoming involved in a crash are greater in wet weather.
The travel company says the most important tip is to slow down. You should also allow more distance between you and other vehicles and more time to get to your destination.
AAA recommends always wear a seat belt and minimize distractions. Turn your cellphone off and leave the radio alone.
If you're caught in a skid, AAA says to look and steer in the direction you want to go.
Keep in mind roads could get worse as the week goes on and temperatures drop. The temperature is expected to drop as much as 30 degrees Thursday, which could cause wet roads to turn to ice. To see the full forecast, go to wcpo.com/forecast .
