The National Weather Service has canceled a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several Northern Kentucky counties and two counties in southeast Indiana.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch was supposed to be in effect until 8 p.m., but the National Weather Service canceled it at about 4:23 p.m. after a strong storm system passed through the area.
Ten Northern Kentucky counties were under the watch, along with Ohio and Switzerland counties in Indiana. Only Bracken, Lewis, Mason and Robertson counties remain under the watch.
The main threat with developing severe storms will be large hail, damaging winds and dangerous lightning.
