CINCINNATI - It’s Halloween and with all the cold, wet and breezy weather we’ve been having, everyone wants to know what it’s going to be like for Trick-or-Treating Wednesday night.
Great news… we should be dry! Rain showers will stick with us through Wednesday afternoon with a just a slight chance of rain in the evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies with mainly dry conditions.
It is going to be cold and below average though with temperatures in the low 40s. We’re also expecting some breezy conditions with gusts near 20 mph, so it could “feel” even colder. Be sure to dress those little ghouls and goblins in layers…don’t forget the coat, hat, and gloves!
Even though it will be quite cold, at least we’re not expecting any heavy rain or snow. The most rain we’ve had on Halloween was 1.49 inches in 1941.
The most snow we’ve had was .30 inches in 1993 -- in fact, it’s the only time we’ve had measurable snow on Halloween!
So what kind of temperatures have we seen on Halloween?
Normal high: 61 degrees
Normal low: 41 degrees
Record high: 81 in 1950 & 1933
Record low: 24 in 1923
