VERONA, Ky. -- Three people are dead after a FedEx delivery truck and a pick-up collided Tuesday afternoon on
U.S. 42 at Miller Owens Road.
Two people in the pick-up truck were killed at the scene of the 3:55 p.m. accident, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. The third died en route to the hospital.
The driver of the FedEx truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash closed the road while crews worked at the scene. The road was expected to remain closed until about 7 p.m.
