CINCINNATI -- The long awaited tour of the group "Phish" brought a large number of arrests near U.S. Bank arena this weekend.
Cincinnati Police arrested ten people near U.S. Bank Friday night, and continued the enforcement on Saturday with 23 more arrests.
Some of those arrested never made it inside the arena for the concert.
Christopher Hixon, 36, from Clarksville, IN was arrested just outside the arena. Cincinnati Police say Hixon urinated on a public elevator doors on his way to the Phish concert. Police say they found marijuana inside his pants pocket. Hixon is charged with possession of marijuana.
Aaron Jeremias, 21, from Albany, OH made it inside the arena, but that's where the trouble allegedly began.
According to court records, U.S. Bank Arena staff asked Jeremias to leave, but he tried to sneak back inside. Security allegedly then escorted Jeremias off the property, but Jeremias allegedly tried again to get back into the concert. He's charged with criminal trespass.
Most of the people arrested face drug charges. The highest number are connected to nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas".
12 people ended up in jail in charged with selling or possessing the gas either in tanks or balloons.
Two men from Mason were arrested inside the arena.
Officers say they saw Joshua Duke, 27, selling marijuana peanut butter brownie balls to several people inside the arena around midnight.
While officers arrested Duke, police say Michael Hunt tried to push officers off Duke, allegedly knocking the brownie evidence on the ground. Police say Hunt took off running, and when police caught, he resisted. Duke is charged with drug trafficking and possession. Hunt is charged with two counts of resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
Police arrested five people in the east garage on Mehring Way.
Stephanie Kidd, 19 from Gray, KY and Christopher Dean, 25, from Birmingham, AL both allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover officer. Police say Kidd charged $10.00 for the bag and officer allegedly found more marijuana packaged and ecstasy. Dean allegedly also had psilocybin mushrooms. Both are charged with drug trafficking and possession.
Elizabeth O'Riley, 29, from Woodridge, IL allegedly had powdered cocaine and place it under her front seat when she saw an undercover officer. Robert Sullivan, 27, from Wickciffe, KY allegedly had marijuana and opium. They're both charged with drug possession.
Lucas McBride, 19, from Columbus allegedly had a can of alcohol in his hand, as well as ecstasy that was prepared for distribution. He's charged with underage possession as well as drug possession and trafficking.
Four arrests came at a city parking lot on Transit Way.
Tom Spicer, 31, from Fort Thomas, KY, allegedly tried to sell four bags of marijuana and sold one for $15.00. he's charged with trafficking marijuana.
Kevin Downs, 30, from Hagerstown, MD was arrested after police say he pulled a bag of marijuana out of his pocket and tried to hand it to someone else while police were conducting another investigation in the area. He's charged with possession of marijuana.
David Grochocki, 29, from Redford MI was allegedly trying to sell three different types of drugs. Police say they saw him making a sale and then allegedly ran while police were questioning him. After his arrest, police say they found ecstasy, LSD, and ketamine. All the drugs were in bulk amounts. Grochocki is charged with three counts each of drug trafficking and possession.
An eastern Kentucky man allegedly ran from police while officers were trying to find a man who punched a police horse. Kevin Caines, 24, allegedly gave a fake name, was highly intoxicated and ran and fought with police before he was finally arrested. Caines is charged with obstruction of official business, falsification, and disorderly conduct.
Many of those arrested on Friday and all 23 arrested on Saturday are due in court Monday morning for arraignment.
