I am strongly in favor of The "Puppy Lemon Law" in order to hold breeders and pet stores accountable by the law to run the business fairly and healthy, so pet parents aren't taken advantaged of by the cost of the animal and then Vet bills they incurred. Is there a Better Business Bureau to report to about animal Breeders reputation and business practice? Spicer, maybe you could start a web site that tells about the situation with Bella's breeder and how to safe guard against negligent breeders. Have a print out available of a list of questions pet parents should ask breeders about like vaccinations, current health problems, and care they have provided to the puppies, and a printable form that pet parents can take to the breeder to sign and have notarized guaranteeing their puppys health. Dear Spicer, Bella didn't die in vain. God will turn your tragedy into a blessing according to His will, just have faith and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Vindicater. Sometimes God allows bad things to happen to people who are loving, compassinate, and caring because he knows they will do something to prevent it from reoccuring and by getting laws in place to protect other pet parents. Let me know the out come. You are in my thoughts and prayers: Nursepeeno@insightbb.com I have a 13 year old Yokie, Maddie Marie, who was very sick 3 days after I got her with Kennel Cough. This is my favorite poem, I hope it give you comfort. Doggies A faithful dog will play with you And laugh with you….or cry. He’ll gladly starve to stay with you And never reason why. When you’re feeling out of sorts, Somehow he’ll understand, He’ll watch you with his shining eyes And try to lick your hand. His blind, implicit faith in you Is matched by his great love. The kind that all of us should have In the MASTER up above. When everything is said and done, I guess this isn’t odd. For when you Spell “dog” backwards………. You will get the name of “GOD”! I agree with establishing a law to protect the puppies' well-being. I also strongly encourage people to ADOPT animals who already need good homes, rather than supporting breeders who produce MORE unnecessary animals. With the "breeder" having multiple breeds of dogs, sounds like it could be a puppy mill to me...

Absolutely there should be a law!! I also think that the breeders should be investigated. I would be willing to bet that the breeder knew all along that something was wrong with that puppy. Something needs to be done to stop these backyard breeders as they see this only as a money makeing proposition and care nothing about the animals...My heart goes out to Bella and Jaclyn.

Yes there should be a lemon law for puppies, but that would only get money back. Nothing can make up for all the suffering of Bella and Jaclyn. It will be a long six months to be without a furry little friend. The breeder can not be an animal lover with that kind of attitude.

She should get every penny back that she paid for the puppy "and" what it cost to try and save the pup. These kinds of breeders need to be put OUT OF BUSSINESS.

She should at least get her $$ back that she gave the breeder for the purchase of the puppy.
