hispanics are a tight knit community. now that a victim has been criminalized, they will shut up and not report crimes or come forward as witnesses. this was a violent crime (the robbery with a gun). they will take matters into their own hands. the violent criminal will turn to non-hispanics to rob. it seems to me that the primary focus should be on solving the violent crime first. or I wonder if the victim will be allowed to return to the u.s. to testify. and why would he? our prejudices sure turn us into idiots.
