LOUISVILLE, Ky. – GSI has several hundreds of seasonal jobs in Richwood and Louisville available.
While the unemployment rate toped out at 10.2 percent, an increase of 3.6 percent over October of last year, what is almost equally disturbing is the growth in under-employment. People who have had their hours and benefits cut due to the economic down-turn. The number of under-employed has increased 35 percent from 5.4 percent to 7.3 percent.
Although there is little relief for those affected by this trend, GSI Commerce can help them off-set their losses during the expensive holiday season.
GSI is hiring pickers, packers, heat press operators and gift-wrappers for all shifts, including weekends.
GSI employs nearly 4,000 full-time employees, and that number nearly doubles every year in the fourth quarter as the company hires thousands of Seasonal Employees at their fulfillment and distribution facilities.
These facilities host on-site job fairs and interviews throughout the week. Interested applicants are encouraged to stop in and interview Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and extended interview hours will increase shortly.
