Children across Greater Cincinnati are learning this week about the importance of giving back to the community.

Students are taking part in service learning projects to mark Global Youth Service Day on Saturday.

All this week more than 30 projects are taking place across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to address local needs.

The goal is to teach young people they can make a difference.

"No matter what, no matter how old you are, no matter if you are in elementary school, high school, no matter where you live you can do something to give back, you can do something to donate to your community," said Jordan Huizenga with Children,Inc.

The students will gather at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center this weekend.

For more information about the events or how to get involved, contact Children, Inc. at (859) 431-2075 or visit online at www.childreninc.org.
