ERLANGER, Ky. -- Emergency crews safely rescued a man after his boat capsized in Erlanger early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the man was spraying for weeds in a private pond along the 3800 block of Narrows Road when the boat he was in tipped over just after 8 a.m.

Initial reports indicated he may have been trapped or drowning; however, officials say his feet were only stuck in some mud on the bottom of the pond.

The man was reportedly able to stand in about six feet of water until rescue crews could pull him to safety.  He is expected to be okay.

His name had not been released.
