HEBRON, Ky. – The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating a report of a possible child enticement incident in Hebron, Ky., on Sunday.

An 11-year-old reported she was in her family’s front yard on Lauren Meadows Drive in Hebron when she said a heavy-set man in his 40s or 50s driving a red pick-up truck with white stripes asked her to get into his truck. She said she ran to a neighbor’s house and the man left the area.

Investigators have been diligently following up on the initial report and also follow-up ghost sightings since Sunday only to discover there is no evidence to suggest it occurred.

Even though this case proved unfounded Sheriff Michael Helmig reminds parents to remain vigilant when it comes to the safety of their children.
