Traffic may be slowed next week along U.S. 42 in Boone County as road crews mill sections of the roadway, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6.
The road surface work will take place
along U.S. 42 from U.S. 25 toward Interstate 75 (14-15 mile markers). Motorists are advised to be alert for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.

Boone CountyWednesday, Oct. 28 - Friday, Oct. 30
Crews will be patching and repairing potholes on various state routes throughout Boone County. Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Campbell CountyMonday, Oct. 26 - Friday, Oct. 30
A crew will be cleaning out drains on the I-471 North and Southbound median (0 – 5 mile marker). The left hand lane will be closed.
Monday, Oct. 26 - Tuesday, Oct. 27
A crew will be patching and repairing with equipment sections on KY 1936 (Pond Creek Road). Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Wednesday, Oct. 28 - Friday, Oct. 30
A crew will be patching and repairing with equipment various sections of state routes in the southern part of Campbell County. Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Kenton County Monday, Oct. 26
Crews will be patching and repairing with equipment sections of KY 14 (Bracht Piner Road) from KY 3083 to KY 17 (2-3 mile marker). Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Tuesday, Oct. 27 - Wednesday, Oct. 28
Crews will be patching and repairing with equipment sections of KY 8 (River Road) from the Boone County line to KY 1072 (0-4 mile marker). Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Thursday, Oct. 29 - Friday, Oct. 30
Crews will be removing trees and brush on state right of way on KY 16 (Walton Nicholson Road) from Boone County line to KY 17 and Kenton Station Road (0-4 mile marker). Watch for flaggers, equipment and lane closures.
Gallatin County Monday, Oct. 26 – Thursday, Oct. 29
Crews will patch and repair sections with equipment on I-71 SB and NB from the Carroll County line to the I-71/I-75 split in Boone COUnty ( 53-77 mile marker). Motorists should watch for equipment and lane closures.
Friday, Oct. 30
Crews will be picking up litter on I-71 from the Carroll County line to the I-75/I-71 interchange (53 – 77 mile marker). Watch for crews and equipment.
