Henry pleaded not guilty to both charges Thursday afternoon.
The charges stem from an alleged incident that happened Monday night outside an apartment in Clifton Heights.
Henry is accused of punching a man in the head and throwing a beer bottle at his car.
A judge set Henry's bond at $51,000.
Henry's attorney objected, saying the straight bond amount was out of proportion for the charges.
The judge denied the request saying Henry's past criminal record justified the bond amount.
Henry was also accused of being at a Downtown nightclub early Sunday morning where a separate incident took place.
According to BANG Nightclub, Henry, along with Chris Perry and Domata Peko from the Bengals were escorted out of the club by police after an altercation.
The nightclub said charges have not been filed.
Before Henry appeared in court, the Bengals announced that the team released their troubled receiver.

Bengals president Mike Brown issued the following statement:
"Chris Henry has forfeited his opportunity to pursue a career with the Bengals. His conduct can no longer be tolerated."
"The Bengals tried for an extended period of time to support Chris and his potentially bright career. We had hoped to guide him toward an appropriate standard of personal responsibility that this community would support and that would allow him to play in the NFL. We acknowledge those fans who had concerns about Chris; at the same time we tried to help a young man.
"But those efforts end today, as we move on with what is best for our team."
Official Statement: BANG Nightclub Re: Club BANG – Bengals Players on March 30th around 1am On March 30 around 1am there were incidents involving members of the Cincinnati Bengals Football team at BANG Nightclub.
Chris Henry, Chris Perry and Domata Peko were escorted out by police at the close of the club.
Charges have not been filed, pending the settlement of punitive damages.
